Sharron Packineau

Sharron Packineau, 81, died July 25, 2025, where she was living in Sacramento, Calif.

She was born May 11, 1944, in Wolf Point and was raised nearby at Chicken Hill by her grandmother, Lena BearSkin.

She went to school briefly at a boarding school in Pierre, S.D., and then in Wolf Point, during which she married Lawrence “Bert” Longee. They moved to Portland, Ore. To this marriage, she had two daughters, Darlene “Lulu” and Deborah; and a son, Larry.

Later, they divorced and she married Rafael “Fer Fer” Caldera, staying in Portland until they divorced.

She worked for the Indian Health Service over 20 years and made lifelong friends. Later, she worked for the Yakama Nation vocational rehabilitation
