Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 86 calls during Sept. 1-8.
The calls included the following: Sept. 1
Deputies assisted Wolf Point City Police regarding an adult male who came into the sheriff’s office and said his wallet was stolen the night before at the Waterhole. Wolf Point police arrested a female.
Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice at TJ’s Quik Stop in Poplar for an adult female who claimed she was assaulted by her step-father. Witnesses reported that the female was actually the one who assaulted the male.
Deputies responded to Bainville for a domestic incident. A male claimed that his spouse was acting up. It was determined that both parties were having a verbal argument. The female left the residence.
Sept. 2
Deputies received a report from Williams County, N.D., regarding a vehicle going through the county with a female passenger who had a warrant. Peyton Brown, 20, of Harlem was stopped on authority of the warrant from Powell County. During the search, prescription drugs were found. She was cited for possession of dangerous drugs.
Sept. 3
Deputies responded to Brockton on a complaint from an adult female that she was threaten by a male. FPTDLJ assisted deputies.
Sept. 4
Deputies assisted the Montana Highway Patrol and FPTDLJ for a search of an individual at Town Pump in Wolf Point.
Sept. 5
Deputies responded to tribal housing in Poplar to remove an adult woman who was unwanted at the residence. Deputies escorted her off the property.
Deputies responded to tribal housing in Brockton regarding an intoxicated man yelling at relatives. The male was escorted from the property.
Sept. 6
Deputies assisted the fire department at the Missouri River bridge near Culbertson where a tractor was on fire and blocking traffic. Deputies performed traffic control.
Deputies responded to East Custer Street in Wolf Point for a fight that involved disorderly conduct and a weapon offense. FPTDLJ and Wolf Point ambulance also responded. One male was transported to the hospital.
