Edison Comes Last
Edison Lee Comes Last, 35, of Poplar died Aug. 20, 2025, in Billings.
He was born in Poplar, Montana to LeRoy Comes Last and Sabrina Standing Elk-Comes Last. His Indian name was Čhetá (Hawk).
He worked for TERO. He worked on the water tower by the Tribal office and also for Sidney Construction. He worked for Bobby and Andy Trottier, roustabout for seven years.
He enjoyed seeing family and friends happy and enjoyed telling jokes. He would say, “You don’t have a life if you don’t have laughter in it.”
He enjoyed helping his father around the ranch, riding and training horses, going to and helping out with rodeos, powwows and sweats. He enjoyed hunting. His favorite pastime was listening to country music and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, LeRoy Comes Last and Sabrina Standing Elk Comes Last; son, Ethan Grey Bear (mother, Deanna Grey Bear); siblings, Taylor Wade Comes Last and Lucas Comes Last; daughters, LeeAmiya, Destinee, Lilley Comes Last, Malissa, Amber Comes Last and Kristi.
A funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 29, at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment was at the Comes Last Family Cemetery in Poplar. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
