Wolf Point Runners Enjoy Larger Turnout Than Past Seasons

The Wolf Point High School’s cross country program is starting its season with improved numbers and the hope to be able to race as a team in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.
Members of the boys’ squad include Reilly Rees, sophomore Ezekiel Payne, freshman Andrew Williamson, Kayeiko Villaluz, Keyvin Brock and eighth-grader Luke Summers.
Rees, a junior, had an active summer running as he competed in two halfmarathons and a few 5K events.
The girls’ team keeps building this season. Athletes include Lakealah Mays, Cadence Bouldin, eighth grader Cali Gorder and eighth grader Shoni Blount.
Gorder participated and placed high in the standings for her age division during runs held this summer.
The team’s first two meets this season are its home invitational at the Wolf Point Airport Golf Club on Friday, Aug. 29, and at Poplar on Saturday, Sept. 6.
