Gas Prices Drop Slightly During Week
Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 0.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.22/g on Monday, Aug. 25, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana.
Prices in Montana are 2.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 21.6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 2.0 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.651 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.86/g on Sunday, Aug. 24, while the most expensive was $3.89/g, a difference of $1.03/g.
The national average price of gasoline has risen 3.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.12/g today. The national average is down 2.1 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 18.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
