City Council Hears Updates On Wastewater

The Wolf Point City Council held its regular meeting Aug. 18.

Town attorney Montana Wilson closed the public portion of the meeting to discuss strategy regarding ongoing litigation.

Following executive session, the council heard a public works report. The municipal pool is closed as of Aug. 17.

Greg Lukasik provided an update on wastewater projects. New bids for the lift station, Phase 1, will be opened Sept. 18. Two related resolutions were passed, including a bond anticipation note.

The council reviewed the Wolf Point Police Department’s monthly activity report. The new police chief Anthony Cambridge is expected to start in his new position with the city Sept. 1.

Jordan Birdsbill and JD Peters were hired as mechanic/ maintenance workers.

June cash reports and pledged securities were approved.

A budget adoption meeting is set for Aug. 28 at 7 p.m.

The next regular meeting is set for Sept. 8.
