Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 60 calls during Aug. 5-11.
The calls included the following: Aug. 5
Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a report of a possible assault. A female reported that her sister pushed her. There were no injuries. The people separated from the location.
Deputies were asked to do a welfare check in Fort Kipp. Upon arrival, the calling party wasn’t at home.
Aug. 6
Deputy/coroner assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice with a report of an unattended death in Poplar. A 68-yearold female, who was recently in the hospital, died at her home from natural causes.
Deputies responded to a report of an assault in Poplar. A grandmother said her grandson was assaulted when a female kicked him. The female left the area in an unknown direction. The report was forwarded to the tribal prosecutor.
Aug. 7
A theft was reported in Culbertson when an individual’s cellphone was taken during the county fair. An attempt was made to track the phone with an app. Officials couldn’t located the phone.
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to Brockton for a report of people fighting. A male reportedly tried to assault a female, but then a brother showed up to throw him off the female. Witnesses said the female started the incident. Mashann Rattling Thunder, 31, was arrested by FPTDLJ.
Aug. 8 Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to Poplar’s city limits for a report of a fight near the east end water tower. The suspect couldn’t be located.
Aug. 10
Deputies responded to Culbertson regarding a complaint by an adult male who said he was being physically threaten by another male. The second male was given a ride to another location.
