Montana Poet Laureate Set For Aug. 28

Montana Poet Laureate Chris La Tray will appear at the Roosevelt County Library in Wolf Point on Aug. 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. La Tray is a Métis storyteller, an enrolled member of the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians and a descendant of the Pembina Band of the mighty Red River of the North. He writes the weekly newsletter “An Irritable Métis” and lives near Frenchtown.

Children’s programmer and librarian Heather Granbois told the Northern Plains Independent that refreshments will be served. “We are excited to host this award winning author here in Wolf Point and hope you can make it,” Granbois said. “We will be serving food and drinks as well.”
