Hunter Education Classes Offered Across Northeast Montana
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Hunter Education course dates have been set several for several communities in northeast Montana.
In-person, instructor-led hunter education classroom courses are available to anyone age 10 and older and provide new hunters with a hands-on learning experience. There will be three youth classroom courses offered in various communities. The course dates and locations are as follows: In-person class in Dodson, Dodson Senior Center, Aug. 16-17, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
In-person class in Poplar, Poplar Middle School, Aug. 26-28, 6-8 p.m., Sept. 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
In-person class in Lodge Pole, Chief Nosey Center, Aug. 30-31, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
There are also several opportunities for field days for online students offered in northeast Montana: Aug. 15: Field day for online hunter education students, Valley County Rifle and Pistol Club A field day for students ages 12-17 who have completed an online hunter education course will take place on Aug. 15, from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Valley County Rifle and Pistol Club. Students aged 18 and over are not required to attend a field day but are welcome to if space allows.
