Free Concert Announced For Roosevelt County Fair


County and Christian music artist Chad Bushnell will provide a free concert at the Roosevelt County Fair on Friday, Aug. 8.
According to his website, Bushnell displays the American Spirit in his lyrics and melodies.
He has opened for famous artists including Dwight Yoakam, Kris Kristofferson, Neil McCoy, Billy Currington, Collin Raye, Mark Chesnutt and Exile.
Bushnell’s single, “What Would Jesus Do,” reached number one on the Christian Country Music charts in December 2018. Two more Christian cowboy songs “That Ain’t My Church,” and “Thank God” also hit the top spot for Christian Country selections.
He has participated in several competitions including the American Country Star contest in Nashville, where he became a top three finalist and won the Horizon award in 2014.
Other accomplishments have included earning first in the Inspirational Country Showdown in Yuba City, Calif., and receiving the New Artist of the Year award at the Inspirational Country Music Awards in 2019.
Bushnell has also appeared in the documentary “North State Roots,” “The 700 Club” and “Universal Huntress.”
