Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 63 calls from July 14-21.

The calls included the following: July 10

Deputies responded to a possible stabbing report in Wolf Point. Alex Guardipee of Frazer was arrested on tribal charges for aggravated assault. The case is still under investigation.

July 14

Deputies responded to Culbertson after a resident said that his vehicle was stolen and then he located the vehicle near the rest stop in Culbertson. The vehicle was taken from a farmer’s field in Richland County. Some items, including the keys, were missing. Deputies requested a video from the rest stop area.

Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a report of an adult male causing a disturbance. The disagreement was only verbal and not physical.

July 15

Deputies received a complaint from a Bainville resident who was worried about the welfare of a dog. Deputies determined the dog was fine and had food and water.

Deputies received a report regarding a vehicle parked with its lights on at the Culbertson rodeo grounds. Deputies made contact with the driver, and she was fine.

July 16

Deputies assisted with a medical call at Fort Kipp. An elderly man was struggling to stand up and walk. EMS was called.

July 17

Deputies assisted Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice with the report of a stabbing in Poplar. An adult male was stabbed on his side with a box cutters. Beverly St. Germaine, 34, was arrested by FPTDLJ.

July 19

Deputies received a report of a possibly intoxicated driver on Montana Highway 16 near Froid. After locating the vehicle, a traffic stop was conducted. The driver was sober, but he said he was tired. He agreed to pull over and rest for awhile. He was given a verbal warning.

July 20

Deputies received a complaint at 6 a.m. regarding young adults at the new bridge area between Poplar and Brockton. Five young adults were located. Three of the individuals received citations for unlawful consumption of alcohol while under the age of 21.

Deputies responded to B& S Quick Stop regarding a customer threatening other customers. After talking with deputies, the individual left the area.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff ’s report activity statistics for the past week were: Wolf Point city limits, five; Wolf Point rural, two; Wolf Point FPHA areas, two;; Poplar city limits, 13; Poplar rural, five; Poplar FPHA Airport Addition, one; Poplar FPHA all other, three; Culbertson town, eight; Culbertson rural, three; Bainville town, one; Bainville rural, five; Froid town, one; Froid rural, one; Brockton town, eight; Brockton rural, four; Fort Kipp, one; total, 63.
