Gospel Fellowship Plans Full Vacation Bible Adventure

Gospel Fellowship Church plans a full week of fun and learning activities during its annual Vacation Bible Adventure on July 21-25.

The activity, for students in grades K-5, kicks off with a free movie at Prairie Cinemas in Wolf Point. Children can watch “Finding Dory,” enjoy popcorn and a pop for free. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.

Theme for the week is “SCUBA, Diving Into Friendships with God,” with fellowship time from 6-8:30 p.m. each night. The Vacation Bible Adventure is free for students to attend. Each student will receive a backpack and a toy created by volunteers of Mosaic Church in Littleton, Colo.

Last year, Gospel’s adventure attracted more than 80 students. “We’re actually ready for 100 kids,” said Diane Andrews, one of the event’s organizers.

The week will be capped off with a family barbecue starting at 5:30 p.m. at the church on Friday, July 25. An entertaining program featuring the students will follow the meal.

Andrews says 17 volunteers from the Mosaic Church in Littleton will be busy performing service throughout the week. Volunteers will serve a free lunch featuring sandwiches, chips and treats from the Catholic Hamburger Stand from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22.

Then on Wednesday, July 23, women from the Mosiac Church will organize the hats and gloves donated by the Wolf Point Elks Lodge for area students. Gospel Fellowship Church will then store the items before bringing them to the schools.

Male volunteers will clean debris from alleys throughout the town on July 23.
