Makoshika State Park Offers Summer Fun
Makoshika State Park invites you to join us on Saturday, June 21 and Saturday, June 28, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for a Paleo Experience. Makoshika staff will give participants tours of the visitor center and the paleo lab and lead an interpretive hike.
The cost of the experience is $10/person and participants should meet at the visitor center a little before 8:30 am. Bring what you may need to be comfortable, such as appropriate clothing and footwear, water, etc. These events are limited to 20 participants, so reserve your spot by calling the visitor center at 406-377-6256.
Makoshika State Park will host Fish Math for children ages 7-13 for the June 27 Summer Youth Program on June 27, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., students will learn how fish biologists use math and science to calculate the population of fish in a river system.
Participants should meet at the Makoshika State Park Visitor Center and should bring a water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen and dress appropriately for the weather. Please no flip-flops. Contact Makoshika State Park at 406-377-6256 for more information.
Makoshika State Park is looking for volunteers to be stewards of land on its volunteer Stew Crew.
