Frontier Days, Badlands Planned
Posters are starting to appear around town for seasonal powwows, rodeos and other events in the Culbertson area.
Frontier Days Rodeo is set for Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, at the Culbertson Saddle Club. Events will include bull riding. bareback, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, ladies breakaway, junior barrels and junior breakaway, as well as wild calf races both nights. Action starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday. Slack is set for 9 a.m. Saturday and the annual parade will travel its way down Broadway Ave. starting at noon.
The Badlands Celebration in Brockton is set for June 2729. Grand entries will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A candlelight ceremony is planned for Friday night and walk/run events are planned Saturday and Sunday mornings, with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. Drums paid daily.
