Culbertson Family Pharmacy will be seeing some changes to hours and pharmacist staffing beginning June 1. Pharmacist Scott Stevens will be departing to manage the Roundup Family Pharmacy.

Josh Fisher, managing director for 406 Rc, said Stevens has been a valued employee. “After seven years of dedicated service as the managing pharmacist at Culbertson Family Pharmacy, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Scott Stevens as he transitions to a new role within our company,” Fisher said. “Throughout his time with us, Scott has been a trusted healthcare provider, an exceptional manager and a valued member of our community. His commitment to patient care, professionalism and leadership has made a lasting impact on both our team and the many individuals and families he has served.”

Fisher said Stevens move will not affect quality of service in Culbertson. “While we will miss his daily presence in Culbertson, we are proud to support his continued growth and contributions within our organization,” Fisher said. “We also want to reassure our patients that they remain in excellent hands. We have full confidence in our experienced and dedicated team, who will continue to provide the exceptional care and personal service that our community expects and deserves.”

Stevens told the Community News that he has enjoyed his time in Culbertson but is happy to be moving closer to amenities in Billings. “I’m looking forward to it,” Stevens said.

Along with Stevens’ departure, the pharmacy will be adopting new hours and telemedicine access moving forward. While fully staffed, prescriptions will be processed remotely at a central location. A statement from the company said, “Tele-Pharmacy leverages cutting-edge technology to facilitate video conferencing between our on-site pharmacy technicians and licensed pharmacists located remotely based out of Billings. This allows for meticulous monitoring and verification of all prescriptions, ensuring the same level of clinical and pharmaceutical accuracy as an in-person pharmacist. Patients may notice a slight increase in prescription processing times but are still able to speak directly to the pharmacist via phone. Tele-pharmacy has been implemented in several other 406 Rx locations with great success. We understand that change can bring questions. While the process may look slightly different, we are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible.”

An open house and farewell for Stevens has been set for Friday, May 30, from 3-5 p.m. The event will include light refreshments.

406 Rx was established in 2018 by three pharmacists, all Montana-natives, and has seven locations throughout rural Montana. For more information, customers can call the Culbertson location directly at 406-787-5313.
