Anthony Handran
Anthony Edward “Tony” Handran, 62, of Miles City died May 3, 2025, at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City.
Born on March 23, 1963, in Wolf Point, he was the youngest child of Warren and Ruth (Wolff) Handran. He grew up with a large family that nurtured his special needs. From a young age, he showed an interest in music, particularly the Beach Boys, which remained constant throughout his life.
He spent much of his youth in Glendive, attending Eastmont and Lincoln School. After Eastmont closed to his age group, he moved to a special EMI group home in Miles City. EMI and the group home were beneficial for him and formed his extended family. Mitch, who worked at Tony’s group home, continued his friendship with Tony after retirement, which was significant to Tony.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan Handran of Coos Bay, Ore., and Dick Handran of Bozeman.
He is survived by his siblings, Jim Handran of Gillette, Wyo., Jerry Handran of Glendive, Jack Handran of Gillette, Wyo., Bill Handran of Glendive, Betty Fyfe of Wolf Point and Tom Handran of Rapid City, S.D.
