Ruff To Continue As Frazer’s Superintendent

Dr. Sarah Ruff has agreed to stay as the superintendent of schools in Frazer.
Ruff, who is ending her first year as the school district’s superintendent, announced in January that she was resigning due to time restraints.
“We worked out some things, and I’ve been able to figure some things out,” Ruff said last week. “I enjoy working here.”
During a recent school board meeting, Ruff discussed with trustees the possibility of returning. She signed her new contract on Wednesday, April 30.
“They made a great offer. I was pleased with their cooperation,” Ruff said. “I’m excited. I think the teachers, for the most part, are excited.”
She noted that the school officials have focused on what the students’ needs are for education. Ruff said next year, educators will use the data and put it in practice.
“We want to increase student proficiency in academic areas across the board,” Ruff said.
One improvement will be this year’s summer school. Instruction will be hands-on and science-driven. The goal is to build academic fundamental aspects.
