Wolf Point High School senior Camden Doornek has a good career path in sight after he graduates from the school.

The honor roll student has been accepted to serve in the U.S. Army. He will report to Fort Benning in Georgia on Aug. 11.

Although he has yet to jump out of a plane, Doornek is excited to join the airborne division. “I’m looking forward to it,” he said. This is Doornek’s second year at Wolf Point High School after transferring from Billings West High School.

He said the move to Wolf Point has been a positive one. “I like the small town,” Doornek explained.

His involvement has included being a free safety on the Wolves’ football team for one season.

“I liked the camaraderie,” he said.

Doornek also has been a member of Wolf Point’s wrestling squad.

Hobbies include fishing. He was a participant at the recent ice fishing tournament held in Poplar.

At the school, his favorite subject is government. Doornek said, “Government intrigues me.”

His favorite teacher is RC Page. “We get along well,” Doornek explained.
