Immaculate Conception Catholic Church members recently conducted a farewell party for two of its leaders. The congregation thanked Father Kiran Bernard for serving in Wolf Point for the past 18 months. He has been transferred to the Scobey/ Plentywood area. Ann Wienke has devoted much time to the church as she has served as the church’s director of Catechesis and youth ministry for 21 years.

It is highly beneficial for senior citizens to remain socially active when they retire this has been proven in countless studies and is really common sense. We have all heard the stories of how “So and so retired and died right away.” For many of us our careers were our focal point for our social interactions and the only way we got out of our chair and out of the house.
