Train Hits Trailer


Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to crossing west of Bainville Aug. 8 for a report of a train hitting a trailer. Also responding were the Montana Highway Patrol, Culbertson ambulance and the Culbertson Volunteer Fire Department. The tractor driver was not hurt. The highway patrol is conducting an investigation. Bureau of Indian Affairs Fort Peck Fire prevention technician Janet Anderson spoke to area children about fires and Smokey Bear during a presentation at the Roosevelt County Library in Wolf Point on Thursday, Aug. 8.
