High winds and sudden rains impeded harvest efforts this week. We got 4/10 of an inch on Tuesday, in time for buses to go on muddy roads for their first day of school. The temps were in the 90s. Wednesday, Aug. 21, the schools began with a good enrollment, 42 students in Lustre Grade School and 36 in Lustre Christian High School. Gas Prices Drop By 4.4 Cents During Week

Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 4.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.44/g on Monday, Aug. 26, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 8.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 54.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has declined 3.2 cents in the last week and stands at $3.67
