Wolf Point High School senior Caitlyn Wilson is glad to be a student in Wolf Point again. Wilson’s family moved to Malta after her eighthgrade year, but they returned to the town this summer.
“I was excited,” Wilson said. “I like the sports here and the school environment.”
During her first quarter back at the school, she was voted to serve on the homecoming court as a queen candidate.
“I was surprised, considering I just came back,” she said.
Wilson is a member of the National Honor Society. Her activities include track and basketball.
In track, she participates in the 100-meter dash, 200 and javelin. She feels the javelin is her best event.
“Hopefully, I can make it to state or at least go to divisional,” Wilson said.
Basketball is her favorite sport by far. She hopes she can help the Wolves earn a state tournament berth this season.
She enjoys the competitiveness of basketball. She feels her strong points are her defense and seeing the floor well.
Wilson’s favorites classes are strength and cardio.
Her favorite teacher is Melissa Cromwell. “She’s sarcastic and that matches my personality,” Wilson said.
After high school, she plans to pursue a degree in secondary education. She would like to become a teacher and a coach.
