Senior Profile

Bainville High School senior Isaiah Bjorge has made many good memories in Bainville after transferring from Williston, N.D., three years ago.

“It’s a smaller school. It’s not so crowded,” Bjorge said of why he likes Bainville.

His involvement has included being part of the school’s FFA chapter. His favorite competition is mechanics.

“I like doing the welding part,” Bjorge explained. “Since watching my dad weld, I’ve been interested in it.”

His father works for JMAC Resources in Williston. Isaiah also works at the business during summer months.

As far as sports, Bjorge competes in football and basketball for the Bulldogs.

“I’ve had a lot of fun playing it,” Bjorge said of why football is his favorite sport. He was very pleased and a little surprised of the past season when the Bulldogs earned first place in the conference.

“We lost a lot of seniors, so I thought it would be a rebuilding team,” Bjorge said.

One of the season’s highlights was a win over Savage that provided Bainville with momentum for the rest of the season.

Bjorge earned All-Conference honors for his play.

He is looking forward to the upcoming basketball season as well.

“Our goal is to hopefully make it to divisionals,” Bjorge said. “I feel like we can do it.”

Bjorge’s favorite class is English, and his favorite teacher is Sarah Morales because she explains things well.

After high school, Bjorge plans to attend Williston State College. He hopes to become a mechanical engineer.
