School Board Hires Teachers, Coaches

Days before the start of fall sports practices and the school year, the Wolf Point School Board approved the hiring of individuals during its monthly meeting held on Monday, Aug. 12.

Teachers hired were Alyson Payer for fourth grade and Jaki Harada for high school English. Harada will start her duties on Sept. 30.

Paraprofessionals hired were RaShane Walking Eagle and Kalen Stump. Also hired were Macy LaPlante as junior high/high school attendance secretary and Julio Quezada as junior high/high school assistant custodian. Substitute teachers approved were Hamyanie Campbell, Jim Marmon, John Plestina and Darryl Ricker Sr.

As far as extra-curricular hires, coaches for the new girls’ flag football program are Cody Larson and Bif Loucks. Dave Allen will serve as a volunteer for the program.

High school assistant coaches hired included Kelby Bauer for cross country, Ronald Chavez for football, T’Elle Evans for volleyball, Cody Larson for volleyball and Caleb Pendleton for wrestling. Volunteer coaches will be Shania Chavez for volleyball, Kim Hanks for volleyball, Dana Matejovsky for wrestling and Kelby Bauer for boys’ basketball.

Coaches hired for junior high were Andrea Sansaver for cross country, Marques White Horse for football, Jed Loucks for football, Brianna Red Cloud for volleyball, Andrew Vun for volleyball and Dana Matejovsky for wrestling.
