Council Approves Site Plans
The Culbertson Town Council held its regular meeting Aug. 12. Council members passed a resolution to levy $48,200 this year for the bathhouse project. Designs for the structure were discussed and the council agreed to request a new design incorporating a family changing area.
Delays with audit reports for 2022-2024 were discussed. Possible options for making progress were discussed. The matter was tabled until the September meeting.
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office report was shared. There were 73 calls for service within Culbertson town limits and the surrounding area, leading to one arrest, 25 citations and 57 incidents.
A site plan was approved for a single wide mobile home in Wheatland Hills.
A site plan for a fence at 220 4th Street E received a public hearing and was also approved.
Clerk Terri Merrill was approved to attend the Montana League of Cities and Towns annual convention in West Yellowstone.
At the conclusion of the regular meeting, council members broke into executive session to discuss a pending legal matter.
Financials and claims were passed, as were minutes for the June 8 meeting.
The next regular meeting is Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
