Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 98 calls from July 29 to Aug. 4. The calls included the following: July 29
Deputies removed a crowd of people at the Town Pump in Wolf Point. When the group headed to Agland Hardware, they were told to leave that area as well.
Deputies received a report of threats being made in Bainville. Two males were in a confrontation.
Deputies responded to a report of a motorcycle running into the side of a pickup. There was some damage to the pickup. A deputy issued citations.
Deputies responded to Brockton for a report of an individual using drugs and being mentally unstable. A relative said the female was huffing. Marcella Blackdog, 23, was charged with disorderly conduct.
July 30
Deputies assisted The Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice on a welfare check for a possibly suicidal female. Law enforcement provided some phone numbers for emotional support.
July 31
Deputies assisted Fort Peck Security regarding a male who was struck in the head with a bottle at Fort Kipp. The man was transported by ambulance for medical treatment. A name of the suspect was provided. FPTDLJ assisted in the investigation.
Deputies responded in Poplar near the tribal jail for a report of a male laying on the side of the road sleeping. He was woke up and he headed home.
Deputies responded to the Mint Bar in Froid to investigate a hit and run. Someone backed into a vehicle and damaged it.
Aug. 1
Deputies responded to a report of theft in Froid. Someone stole a battery from a vehicle. The incident is still under investigation.
Deputies received a report of a male assaulting a female at TJ’s Quik Stop in Poplar. The two individuals were located, and they said they weren’t fighting. Neither party had an active warrant.
Deputies received a report of an attempted kidnapping in Poplar’s airport addition. An adult reported that someone attempted to talk her minor daughter into leaving the area. Doreen Blackdog, 20, was charged with tribal code violation for attempted kidnapping, having a concealed weapon and being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Aug. 2
Deputies received a report from the Montana Department of Child and Family Services that they removed children from an adult male. The adult male then went to the social services building in Wolf Point and was hostile. After law enforcement arrived, the male left the area on his own.
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ at Poplar’s airport addition for a report of an adult female threatening another adult female with a weapon. Jettison McClammy, 31, had a warrant for her arrest and was taken to tribal jail.
Aug. 3
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ for a report of an assault in Poplar where a man threw an object at another male. Law enforcement couldn’t find the suspect.
Deputies received an initial report at 8:20 p.m. of an aggravated assault with a weapon in Wolf Point’s city limits regarding two females fighting, and one of the females being stabbed. Deputies assisted FPTDLJ and the Wolf Point Ambulance Service. The report was later changed to murder/non-negligent manslaughter. The Federal Bureau of Investigation took over the case. Roosevelt County served as the deputy coroner in the incident.
