DeWayne Shoots Sr.

DeWayne Carl Shoots Sr., 48, of Poplar died July 12, 2024.

He was born on April 11, 1974, the son of Isabelle Shoots. He lived most of his life in Poplar and several other places such as Portland, Ore., Rapid City, S.D., and Spokane, Wash., and lived off and on in Billings. He attended school in Poplar and was a Poplar Indian fan for life. He was also a fan of the New England Patriots football and loved every time they went to the Super Bowl.

He was always his family’s protector and greeted them with a vast, captivating smile. He was always willing to take the time to help. He loved to go for rides in the countryside with his friends. His adventures would take him to learn new card games and he was up for a challenge in horseshoes.

He is survived by his mother, Isabelle Shoots; sons, De-Wayne Shoots Jr. and Demarko Shoots Lilley; daughter,
