Temperatures at Lustre were in the upper 90s last week and, thankfully, cooled down in the evenings somewhat. The sunsets were beautiful.

A farewell service was held by the Lustre Community Bible on Sunday morning, July 14, for the Dan and Melissa Marasco family. They have been part of Lustre for 14 years and Dan served as chairman of the board for Beacon Bible Camp, as well as Bible teacher the 14 years and music teacher for both schools this past year. His Bible teaching was akin to being able to attend Bible College and very much appreciated. They are returning to Pennsylvania. The Dawson Olferts hosted a goodbye party for the Marasco family on Sunday evening.

Bernie and Debbie Swartzenburger, who served as dorm parents for two years, have returned to Michigan.

New dorm parents for the LCHS have been found.

Bob Burkhart will be the principal of the Lustre Christian High School, replacing Ric Catell.
