This year’s Miss Rodeo Montana is Amber La-Cross. A fifth-generation Montanan, she is the daughter of Jason and Jennifer LaCross of Bozeman.

Her lifelong passion for horsemanship began at a young age, helping family and friends ranch on the north end of the Bridger Mountains and cheering on fellow rodeo contestants in the arena. Her upbringing in a ranching community instilled in her a deep appreciation for agriculture and the Western way of life, recognizing the vital role these industries play in supporting and sustaining local communities.

She is an early childhood teacher with seven years of experience and is dedicated to inspiring a love of learning and growth in her students. She is a proud alumna of Montana State University, where she graduated with honors. She plans to earn a master’s degree in child development.

When she is not in the classroom, she can be found participating in rodeos, working on the ranch or spending time with loved ones. Her hobbies include hunting, roping and working with horses. She also volunteers with the Gallatin County Cattlewoman, sharing her knowledge of agriculture and horsemanship.

When asked why she aspires to become Miss Rodeo Montana, she responded, “I want to give back to the community that has given so much to me. As Miss Rodeo Montana, I will have the honor of advocating for the Western way of life, rodeo, and agriculture. My passion for these industries runs deep, and I am excited to promote the values that I hold dear.” She is grateful for the opportunity to serve and looks forward to positively contributing to the deep-rooted communities of Montana and beyond as she vies for Miss Rodeo America title in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo at the end of her reign.
