Theodore Ricker

Theodore “Teddy” Ricker, 49, of Poplar died June 26, 2024.

He was born on Dec. 5, 1974, to Gloria Chopper and Harry Ricker.

He played basketball and football for Poplar High School and graduated from Poplar in 1992. After high school, he made a career in firefighting, construction, mechanics and concrete work.

He was known for his great sense of humor. He loved to tease and joke around and cherished every opportunity to laugh with his family and friends. His children were his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play basketball, fishing, picking turnips, cruising around and visiting with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marta Jones; mother, Gloria Chopper; adopted mom, Wyma Goes Head; children, Tiona and Theada Jones, Theodore Jr., Tyrus, Camryn and Kolby Ricker; step children,
