Bainville Plans Family Event June 27
Bainville is trying something new this summer to increase school spirit and raise some funds at the same time.
The Bulldog Boosters in the Park is scheduled for Thursday, June 27, at Simard Park. The event will start at 6 p.m.
“We thought we would do a family event for the area,” Jessica Berwick, a member of the Bainville Sports Boosters, said.
The meal will include burger and chips for $9 or a hot dog and chips for $6. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction items available. A farmers market will feature homemade jellies, butters and jewelry. If you would like to sell at the farmers market for a small fee, call Berwick at 701-571-2701.
Funds raised will help the school’s weight room improvement project. The new equipment will include cardio machines for the community.
“I don’t think we have updated our weight room in 15 years,” Berwick said. “It’s really needed.”
Funds might also help purchase a kiosk to highlight students’ accomplishments and provide information.
