Culbertson Plans Cleanup Effort

A community cleanup event planned by the Town of Culbertson on Sunday, June 2, has added supplies and details, along with a call for participation. The volunteer driven activity will include $250 in cash prizes for groups and organizations who help spruce the town up prior to Frontier Days in June.

“The town will supply gloves and trash bags,” said a press release from organizers. “If you need help removing a large item that does not fit in a local dumpster it can be placed on the curb and marked for removal. There will also be three roll off dumpsters at the Roosevelt County Fairground parking lot for community members to bring larger items such as tires, metal and other large household items.”

Volunteers are invited to meet at noon at the fairgrounds and later at Bruegger Centennial Park to celebrate a successful day. The event is scheduled to last until 6 p.m. Contact the town with questions: 406787-5271.
