Lustre Takes 3C Track Title

The Lustre Christian Lions rolled to the District 3C track championship with 163 points in Wolf Point on Saturday, May 11. Scobey placed second in the boys’ standings with 106 points. Nashua took third with 70 points.

Lustre’s girls took seventh place with 15 points. The top three girls’ squads were Scobey with 140.5 points, Saco with 118 and Whitewater with 83 points.

Terran Joseph was a triple- winner with wins in the 100 at 11.20, 200 at 23.52 seconds and 400 in 51.52 seconds.

Prestyn Klatt finished first in the 800 at 2:21.25, first in the 1600 at 4:57.06 and first in the 3200 at 11:08.78.

Johnslee Pierre scored victories in the long jump at 21-0 and 300-meter hurdles at 40.92 seconds. He was second in the 110-meter hurdles at 16.09 seconds and triple jump at 44-7.

Both of Lustre’s boys’ relay teams finished in first place. The 400-meter relay featuring Emeka Aniobi, Byron Ewing, Brian Guedes and Joseph had a time of 45.32. A great stretch run by Joseph provided the Lions with a comeback win.

The 1600-meter relay team of Guedes, Ewing, Joseph and Pierre had a winning time of 3:40.38.

Diek Olfert finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:14.20.

Taking third for the Lions were Mason Hilkemann with a best of 40-2 in the shot put and Guedes took third in the long jump at 18-9.

Placing fourth were Cameron Reddig with a time of 48.88 in the 300-meter hurdles, Ifeanyi Aniobi with a time of 18.86 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, Guedes at 12.05 in the 100 and Byron Ewing with a time of 55.02 seconds in the 400.

Olfert took fifth in the 1600 at 5:29.85, Hilkemann was fifth in the discus at 104-1 and Reddig took fifth in the triple jump at 37-4.

Placing sixth were Reddig in the high jump at 5-4, Ewing in the discus at 99-9, Reddig with a time of 20.74 in the 110-meter hurdles, Hadden Olfert with a time of 2:21.98 in the 800 and Ewing with a time of 25.27 seconds.

Cayden Klatt placed seventh in the 3200 at 13:34.49. Clay Reddig took eighth in the high jump by clearing 5-4 and eighth in the 800 at 2:25.93. I. Aniobi was eighth in the 100 at 12.35 seconds.

Lauryn Holzricther led Lustre’s girls by clearing 4-2 in the high jump for third place, placing sixth in the 300-meter hurdles and taking sixth in the triple jump at 28-1.

Abby Olfert had a best of 13-5 for fifth place in the long jump. She placed sixth in the 200 at 30.23 and seventh in the 100 at 14.46 seconds.

The girls’ 400-meter relay team featuring Holzricther, Jaden Gibson, Rachel Pew and Olfert placed fourth at 58.71 seconds.
