Every May, the Administration for Community Living leads the nation’s observance of Older Americans Month, a time to recognize older Americans’ contributions, highlight aging trends, and reaffirm commitments to serving the older adults in our communities.

The 2024 theme is Powered by Connection, which recognizes the profound impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our health and well-being. We will explore the vital role that connectedness plays in supporting independence and aging in place by combating isolation, loneliness and other issues.

Activities planned this month at the Wolf Point Senior Center include a Wii bowling tournament that was held on Wednesday, May 8, at 1 p.m.; and a Netflix series Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones with one episode every

Friday at 1 p.m.

We will be showing Only The Brave on Monday, May 13, at 1 p.m. and there will be Bingo on Wednesday, May 22, at 1 p.m.

Roosevelt County Aging Services will be hosting an open house on Wednesday, May 15, from 1 to 6 p.m. Stop in, take a look at the facility and learn about Medicare.
