Poplar’s Boys’ Track  Team Places Ninth Poplar’s Boys’ Track  Team Places Ninth

Poplar’s boys earned 30 points to take ninth place at the 16-team Richey/Lambert track meet on Thursday, April 25.

Adrien Matuck enjoyed a solid meet for the Indians. The senior earned second place in the long jump with a mark of 19-3 and fourth place in the 200 at 24.24 seconds.

Raylando Red Eagle finished second in the 1600 at 5:36.30 and third in the 3200 at 12:23.26.

Cameron Spotted Bird had a best of 116-4 for fourth place in the discus.

Also coming close to placing were Walker Burshia at seventh in the shot put and Matuck at eighth in the 100.

Amelia Weeks led Poplar’s girls. The freshman finished fourth in the 1600 at 6:45.39 and fifth in the 300-meter hurdles at 1:01.41.
