Olson Places Second At NCAA Meet

Wolf Point native Jewel Olson is enjoying success for Dickinson State University’s track program.

Olson, a junior, finished second in the 400-meter dash at the NCAA Division II Northern State, S.D., meet with a time of 57.34 seconds.

Her time at the meet was the best for a runner from a NAIA school.

Olson was part of the Blue Hawks’ 4 x 400-meter relay team that captured the title with a time of 4 minutes, 2.79 seconds, defeating host-team Northern State.

She was selected the North Star Athletic Association Women’s Track Athlete of the Week.
