Culbertson Track Athletes Compete At Lambert

Culbertson’s track athletes struck for 28 points in the boys’ division and 24 in the girls’ events during the Richey/Lambert Invitational held on Thursday, April 25.

Destiny Thompson put together a strong meet for the Cowgirls. The senior captured second place in the javelin with a mark of 106-1 and took third in the shot put with a best of 32-4.

Jazzmin Fugere recorded a best of 100-0 to earn fourth place in the javelin.

Jade LoneBear ran the 3200 in 16:28.99 to place fifth in the race.

Culbertson’s girls’ 1600-meter relay team consisting of Serenity Wilbanks, Rebekah Ellerkamp, Lone-Bear and Payton Labatte took fourth place with a time of 5:37.84.

In the boys’ division, Plenny Williams took second in the discus at 126-9 and Nyreece Halvorson placed third at 126-6.

Cal Steppler finished with a time of 5:43.39 for fourth place in the 1600. Aden Drake took sixth in the 110-meter hurdles at 21.56 seconds.

The 400-meter relay team featuring Harrison Green, Ian Snyder, Reese Moon and Bridger Salvevold finished second at 47.76. The 1600-meter relay team of Drake, Green, Steppler and Williams took sixth at 4:06.84.

Also in the top 10 were Rebekah Ellerkamp in eighth for the 800, Thompson in ninth for the 100, Fugere in eighth for the shot put, Ayden Ator in 10th for the shot put, Emma Berwick in 10th for the discus, Snyder in seventh for the 200, Brooks Solem in seventh for the high jump and ninth in the triple jump, Drake in eighth for the triple jump, Steppler in ninth for the 800, Williams in 10th for the javelin and Moon in 10th for the 100.
