Dana Jonsson has joined the Richland Federal Credit Union team. Jonsson will serve as an agricultural and business loan officer, bringing her wealth of experience and expertise to the organization.

Jonsson joins RFCU following her tenure at First Community Credit Union in Crookston, Minn., where she held positions as branch manager and universal lender. Previously, she served in management roles at U.S. Bank and spent over a decade as an agricultural lender at Stockman Bank in Sidney, progressing through various officer roles from 2006 to 2017.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from the University of Minnesota - Crookston and is a graduate of the Dakota School of Banking. In 2023, she was honored as Volunteer of the Year at First Community Credit Union.

Jonsson was raised on a farm near Grafton, N.D.

Corliss Nelson, RFCU vice president of lending, expressed enthusiasm about Jonsson joining their team. Nelson highlighted her deep understanding of area communities, local economy and agriculture, along with her diverse background and previous work experiences, emphasizing her crucial role in shaping RFCU’s future endeavors and vision.

Jonsson shared, “From my very first day at First Community Credit Union, I’ve embraced the cooperative movement of “people helping people” wholeheartedly. My aspiration is to extend RFCU membership to everyone. I believe RFCU’s goals and ambitions will be both exciting and fulfilling. Returning to Sidney and being closer to family and lifelong friends brings me great joy.”

RFCU is a member-owned financial cooperative and serves members in Richland, Roosevelt, Dawson and Wibaux counties in Montana, as well as McKenzie and Williams counties in North Dakota.
