Darla Hawk

Darla Hawk, “Stink Butt,” 51, of Miles City died Feb. 16, 2024, at home.

She was born on Dec. 24, 1972, in Glendive to William and Sharon Hawk, the baby of the family. She grew up in Wolf Point and moved to Miles City in 1985. She graduated from Senior High School in Billings.

In March 1993, she had the first of her four children, Kaylynn. TJ followed in February 1995, Sioux in June 1999 and Dakota in June 2000.

In 2014, she met Jeff Sanders and her adventures began. She returned home to Miles City in 2020 where she lived until her death.

She was a wild and rebellious soul, never caring what anyone thought. She always did everything on her terms, no one else’s terms. She lived her life to the fullest, always ready for what she called activities. She loved playing pool, drinking beer and hanging out at Parkers with her friends. Gambling and playing bingo on Tuesday nights were also among her loved activities.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott.

She is survived by her father, William; sisters, Denise and Debra; brother, Billy; children, Kaylynn, TJ, Sioux and Dakota; and eight grandchildren.

A visitation was held Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City with family receiving friends from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home. A celebration will follow at Parkers Bar.
