Brockton Splits Games Against MonDak
The Brockton Warriors split basketball contests against MonDak on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
In the boys’ game, the Warriors posted a 59-50 victory.
Brockton led 16-8 at the end of the first quarter and 29-20 at the half. The Warriors held a 44-35 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Leading Brockton to the victory were Jarid Fast Horse with 21 and Ronnie Black Dog with 16 points.
Also scoring were Quincy Belgarde with eight, Colter Nygard with five, Kameron Rattling Thunder with three, Josh Firemoon with two, Co-Dean Youngman with two and Wambidi Yellowhammer with two.
Dilan Wade led the Thunder with 23 points. Graham Wright added nine points.
MonDak’s girls won by a 54-46 final.
The game was deadlocked at 28-28 at the half, but Mon-Dak took a 38-34 lead in the third quarter.
Top scorers for Brockton were Ava Lone Bear with 18 and Tamryn Bauer with 11 points.
Also scoring were KayJay First That Walks with nine, Clara Clampitt with five and Marlene Fish with three.
Leading the Thunder were Katelynn Folvag with 15 and Sydney Rudningen with 12 points.
