Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 62 calls from Jan. 14-22.

January 14

Deputies removed an adult male from a residence in Brockton. Family members said the man was causing a disturbance. Deputies offered her a ride to another residence.

Deputies received a report of a female in Poplar who overdosed. The Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice were also on the scene. Narcan was given and the female was taken to the hospital.

January 15

Deputy/coroner received a report of an unattended death in Wolf Point. The individual died of natural causes. Deputy/coroner assisted the funeral home.

Deputies responded to a house fire in Wolf Point. A trailer house was full of smoke. The Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department arrived and took over the scene.

The Williston, N.D., Police Department called for assistance in identifying local individuals who were being detained.

January 16

McCone County asked for assistance in searching Vida school after a bomb threat was received. The threat was part of a mass email across many parts of the country.

January 18

Deputy/coroner assisted FPTDLJ with a male who had died.

Deputies helped FPTDLJ with transporting a female to Culbertson in order to drop off with relatives.

January 19

Deputies received a missing person report regarding an adult female. The information was put into the National Crime Information Center.

Deputies assisted parole/ probation with an adult male. Brian Gustafson, 65, was taken to jail.

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ with an adult male causing a disturbance at tribal housing. He was removed and asked to go to the homeless shelter.

January 20

Deputies assisted Wolf Point Police Department with a disturbance. Someone claimed someone was yelling that they got stabbed. The report was unfounded.

Deputies responded to a medical assistance call in Poplar. An individual was helped back up after falling.

In addition to the citations above, the RCSO had the following activity: Wolf Point city limits, 14; Wolf Point rural, three; Poplar city limits, five; Culbertson town, 10; Culbertson rural, four; Bainville town, one; Bainville rural, seven; Froid town, five; McCone County, one; Brockton rural, three; Fort Kipp, five; total, 64.
