100 Club Continues Receiving Great Support

The Wolf Point 100 Club enjoyed a banner year during 2023 in its goal of assisting area health care organizations.

The club raised $23,997 compared to $20,053 in 2022 and $19,006 in 2021.

Cindy Hanks, the club’s president, said the Chair-ity auction held during Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede week certainly helped as the event raised more than $4,000.

The organization had 108 members during 2023.

“We’re always happy with the generosity from the community and the area,” Hanks said.

The funds assist in purchasing added medical equipment for Faith Home, Trinity Hospital, Listerud Rural Health Clinic, NEMHS Emergency Medical Services and the Wolf Point Pharmacy. Each year, representatives from Faith Home, Trinity Hospital, Listerud Rural Health Clinic, Wolf Point Pharmacy and the NEMHS EMS compile a “wish list” of items that are needed. During the past several years, the 100 Club has been able to cover all of the items requested.

Current officers/directors include Hanks as president, James Johnson as vice president, Cathryn Wylie as recording secretary and Janece Houg as treasurer.

Directors include Dave Fyfe, Dennis Heser, Mertz Hoversland, Leni Loendorf, Dan Moudree, Thomas Olsen, Jim Patch and Kiyo Ruhd.

The club’s 44th annual meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, at First Lutheran Church.

Dr. Michael Welch will serve as the guest speaker at the annual meeting.

“We asked him to talk about his journey to becoming a doctor in Wolf Point, Montana,” Hanks said. “We hear he’s a good speaker.”

The club announces that a Leap Year Variety Show will take place on Sunday, March 3, at the Wolf Point Elks Event Center. The family- friendly event will feature light snacks and soft drinks.

At the last variety show, entertainment included singers, gymnasts, musicians, skits and monologues. “It’s called variety for a reason,” Hanks laughed.

If interested in being a participant of the show, call Hanks at 406980-0677 or Cathryn Wylie at 406650-7171.
