Gas Prices Fall 4.1 Cents Per Gallon

Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 4.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.87/gallon on Monday, Jan. 15, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 8.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 13.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 2.0 cents in the last week and stands at $3.89 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.72/g on Sunday, Jan. 14, while the most expensive was $3.09/g, a difference of 37.0 cents per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has risen 0.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.04/g on Monday, Jan. 15. The national average is down 1.4 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 23.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
