Reum Keeps Active During Senior Year Reum Keeps Active During Senior Year

Wolf Point High School senior Maddox Reum has competed in his share of activities during his time at school. He played football for four years and this will be his fourth season on the track squad. In addition, He also wrestled for two years.

Reum says track is his favorite sport. His events include the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and relays.

“The weather is nice and I get to see everybody,” Reum said of what he enjoys about track season.

Reum ran to a divisional championship in the 200 during his sophomore season and was part of Wolf Point’s winning 400-meter relay team at last year’s divisional meet.

His goals are to place at state in the 100 and 200 this year.

In football, Reum enjoyed carrying the ball from his tailback position for the Wolves.

One of his favorite memories was gaining yards despite having seven opponents holding on to him during one rushing attempt. “It was one of our last games,” Reum said.

In the classroom, he carries a 4.0 grade point average and ranks third for the class of 2024.

“It’s been a lot of hard work,” he noted.

His favorite class is welding because he likes to build objects including his “battleship” out of scrap wood.

Reum’s favorite teacher is Karli McGowan. “She works us hard,” he said.

Starting at 2 p.m. each day, Reum helps out at his father’s RX Car Wash and More business. His duties include oil changes, changing windshield wipers and rotating tires.

“I love doing it, it’s fun,” he noted.

He also appreciates the father- son time with his dad, Corey Reum. “Even though we butt heads all the time,” Maddox laughed.

After high school, he has the goal of joining the FBI. He notes that many family members have been active in law enforcement and the military. “I want to travel the world,” Maddox said.
