Leroy Allen Simonson, 74, died Nov. 5, 2023, in Malta. He was born on Aug. 18, 1949, in Havre to Roger and Kathleen “Ree” (Murdock) Simonson. He was their firstborn son, delivered by Ree’s sister and nurse, Marjorie (Murdock) Olsen. From that day on, Leroy and his gunt Marjorie had a special relationship. Gary Dale Brien Sr., 79, died Nov. 13, 2023, at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, N.D. He was born April 28, 1944, on the farm at Medicine Lake to Julius and Joy (Rather) Brien and spent the majority of his life in Medicine Lake. At approximately 3 a.m. Sunday morning, Nov. 19, the Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 500 block of Sixth Avenue South. The home was fully engulfed before they arrived. Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and the Wolf Point Police Department assisted with traffic control.
