Brockton Drop Contests In Savage
Brockton came up short in two basketball games in Savage on Friday, Dec. 15.
In the girls’ contest, Brockton lost by a 49-18 final.
Savage led 14-6 at the end of the first quarter and by a 28-11 half-time margin.
Savage increased the gap to 40-13 during the third quarter.
Tamryn Bauer and Taylor Cummins led Brockton with seven points each. Ava Lone Bear and Clara Clampitt added two points each.
Leading Savage were Brooke Reuter with 17 and Aspen Peterson with eight points.
In the boys’ game, Savage posted a 60-34 victory.
The game was deadlocked at 9-9 after the first quarter, but Savage took a 26-15 lead in the second quarter.
Savage led 44-23 after three quarters of play.
Brockton’s top scorers were Quannah First That Walks with 10 points and Quincy Belgarde with eight points.
Also scoring were Kameron Rattling Thunder with five, CoDean Youngman with five, Aden DeMarrias with three, Ronnie Black Dog with two and Josh Firemoon with one.
