A Night To Remember

Wolf Point High School students turned in great performances when they entertained audiences during their 37th annual Madrigal dinner on Thursday, Nov. 30, and Friday, Dec. 1.

The program featuring the school’s drama and music students was directed by teachers Russell Johnson and Jacob Boysun.

Boysun was very impressed with the musical numbers presented by the students under the guidance of Johnson.

“I helped with the play and dancing,” Boysun said.

He added that students got one of the dance numbers down the afternoon of the opening performance.

The meal featured pork shanks, kabobs, apple tarts, breadsticks and wassail. Johnson thanked Ann Landsrud for heading the kitchen crew and Erin Ricker for handling the publicity.

Johnson noted the dedication of the students involved. Many of them performed in a play just four weeks ago. Some of the students are active with the speech and drama programs and also are preparing for concerts.

Highlights of the night included Del Eymard and Quiarrah Rios singing Under A Violent Moon, Cole Boysun (who entertained throughout the night as the jester) playing a solo of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Walker Harmon and Ryver Summers singing Mummer’s Dance, and Harmon and Cole Boysun performing CooRoo Cooroo.

The concert choir ended the

night by singing Candlelight Canon, Dion Dong Merrily On High and This Holy Night/O Holy Night.

Performers included Cante’ Grey Bull, Riley Schwarzrock, Ryelei Bauer, Quiarrah Summers, Chase Adams, Kevin Brock, Cole Boysun, Dante’ Dionne, Walker Harmon, Del Eymard, Francis Good Track, Ryan Schumacher and Logan Wolff.
