Area Holiday Events, Carriage Rides Planned
Ongoing holiday events and gatherings in December continue with horse drawn carriage rides Saturday, Dec. 9, at Wild Calf Coffee’s Bainville headquarters. The Harmons are inviting locals to sip their award-wining coffee while taking a free ride courtesy AmBeau Farms. Bjarnie & Dogphin and The Norwegian Fjords will provide additional entertainment.
The free event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with carriage rides starting at 1 p.m. The Wild Calf roasting facility is located at 6013 Road 1011 in Bainville.
A gift-wrapping station is set up at the James E. Shanley Tribal Library in Poplar, in case you could use a little privacy to wrap your gifts. Supplies will be provided, but staff encourage people to bring their own if possible.
Photos with Santa are being offered at the Catholic Church Parish Center in Poplar Dec. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Culbertson School District’s parade of lights is set for Dec. 18 following the elementary Christmas concert (approximately 7:30 p.m.). Float entries will meet in front of the school and along the playground fences before proceeding down Broadway Avenue.
The annual Lutheran Ladle fundraiser is at Trinity Lutheran Church in Culbertson Dec. 6. Soup, sandwich and dessert will be offered for a price, as well as baked goods and crafts. Delivery will be available. Trinity is located at 405 5th Street East.
