Gas Prices Continue To Decrease
Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 11.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.31/g on Monday, Nov. 20, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 58.0 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 40.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 6.9 cents in the last week and stands at $4.28 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $3.12/g on Sunday, Nov. 19, while the most expensive was $4.02/g, a difference of 90.0 cents per gallon.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 6.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.27/g today. The national average is down 25.9 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 36.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to Gas-Buddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.

In addition, we could see five more states join the sub-$3 club by Thanksgiving. The fall in gas prices, largely seasonal due to weakening gasoline demand, could extend for another week or two, leading to potentially the lowest gas prices since 2021 by Christmas.”
