Chamber Sets Christmas Stroll For Dec. 2

The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture has officially planned the annual Christmas Stroll for Saturday, Dec. 2.

The Stroll, which features static displays of lights, will take place on the same day as the Optimist Club’s bazaar and the NEMHS Foundation’s Festival of Trees.

Plans for the Christmas Stroll, which starts at about 4:30 p.m., will include pictures with Santa, chili by the Wolf Point Lions Club, s’mores from Opportunity Bank, naughty cocoa by the Sherman Inn and hot chocolate by the Junior Optimists.

Julie D’Ambrosio has told directors about her decision to resign as the chamber’s executive director effective at the end of November. She started serving in the position during 2013. She moved to Watford City, N.D., earlier this year.

Wolf Point Schools’ activities director Eric Peterson noted that Wolf Point will host the divisional wrestling tournament on Feb. 2-3. The meet will feature more than 20 teams. Wolf Point will also host the District 2B basketball tournament Feb. 14-17. Games will start at 3 p.m. each day.

Directors said that the septic problem at the Stampede grounds has been figured out. A broken pipe will be repaired.

An after hours event is tentatively planned to take place at the Wolf Point Elks Event Center on Dec. 14, starting at 5 p.m.

Christmas banners and pole displays are scheduled to be up this week thanks to the help of Nemont.

Jordan World Circus has contacted the chamber about holding a performance at the rodeo grounds on Monday, May 13, 2024. The circus will do all the promotions, concessions, ticket sales and event activities.
